Old World Christkindlmarkt at the Flint Hills Shakespeare Festival grounds in St. Marys, Kansas, is a Christmas market that follows many centuries of European tradition, mostly German and partially French. Festively decorated, open air stalls, usually in the city centers, sell handcrafted, high quality, artisanal gifts in preparation for Christmas during the Advent season to shoppers who enjoy the beautiful ambiance. Visitors imbibe warm mulled wine type drinks such as Gluhwein (usually in themed collectable mugs), and eat traditional Christkindlmarkt foods. Inclement Weather: This is an outdoor event, in the event of inclement weather the decision to delay or cancel will be made up to one hour before the gates open. If the conditions of the field are not suitable for parking, a shuttle will be provided. All weather related announcements will be made here and on social media. In event of a weather cancellation, all online tickets will be refunded for that day.
